Hero's Journey - Cinderella story

Our Story: Cinderella

Why we chose it: We loved this story since we were young and we wanted to analyze Cinderella.



ACT I

1. Ordinary World:

2. Call to Adventure:
Prince invites young ladies to the ball to choose his wife.
3. Refusal of the Call:
Cinderella’s stepmother orders her to stay at home and work. Although Cinderella wanted to go to the ball, she obeys her stepmother.

4. Meeting the Mentor:
Her fairy godmother magically appears.

5. Crossing the Threshold:
Her fairy godmother turns a pumpkin into a golden carriage, mice into horses, a rat into a coachman, and lizards into footmen. She then turns Cinderella's rags into a beautiful jeweled gown, complete with a delicate pair of glass slippers. The Godmother tells her to enjoy the ball

ACT II 

6. Tests, Allies, Enemies:

She must return before the midnight. Also, Cinderella isn’t allowed to tell the prince who she is.

7. Approach to the Innermost Cave:

Cinderella meets with the prince, and the prince falls in love with Cinderella

8. Ordeal:

    Just before midnight Cinderella realizes that she has to return to her home. She accidently drops her glass slipper but she leaves it because she was in hurry.

She must helplessly watch prince looking for the owner of the slipper and given the opportunity to try it after her sisters do.

9. Reward:

The slipper fits! Cinderella ultimately marries the Prince.

ACT III 

10. The Road Back:

11. Resurrection:

Cinderella becomes princess and become free from her stepmother.

12. Return With the Elixir:

Cinderella becomes happy
